As we continue to navigate this global pandemic, we wanted to update you on our current activities in El Salvador. During this time of severe quarantine in El Salvador, A.B.L.E. has been providing food bags to those marginalized groups whom we would normally be serving while in El Salvador. Unemployment and lack of income coupled with the inability to move about their country except on allowed days to specific food stores, many people find themselves without basic resources. So during this time of specific need, A.B.L.E. has been providing funding to multiple ministry partners in San Salvador, Cojutepeque and Sonsonate to enable them to buy food for those in need.

In addition, and God willing, we are moving forward with our plans for our September 30 – October 10, 2020 outreach to Cojutepeque where we will be custom fitting 200 wheelchairs. We will also spend some time in San Salvador working with at-risk kids and adults who are former gang members and prostitutes. We seek volunteers with a variety of skills but all with a heart to be the hands and feet of Jesus as we serve the disabled and those most marginalized. Please continue to pray for all of those affected by coronavirus and its implications throughout the world. We ask that you pray God will allow us to return to serve in El Salvador this fall and that we can continue to help meet the basic needs of the Salvadoran people in the interim.
